Meetings are free and include Guest Speakers on various topics around Dementia Care and frank discussions of behaviours and how to cope with them. If the meeting time of another group is more suitable then you will be most welcome to attend that one.

Dementia Home Support is a community-based service for people with dementia (and/or carers) which will assist them to remain in the community. Services include: respite, meal preparation, monitoring of diet and safety, exercise, memory activities and conversation. Home duties can also be provided in exceptional circumstances. The service also provides support and information to carers. Carers Support Groups run in Blacktown on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:30pm-9..30pm and in Penrith on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 1 pm-3pm.

PATH provides support and information, lobbies for disability causes and works with other community groups to help people with a disability. PATH has a special interest in families. Services include support groups (Positive Links and a group for parents/carers of those with Aspergers syndrome), equipment pool for disabled children (EPIC) and Integration Co-ordinator to obtain integrated recreation for disabled children. PATH to your Door is a volunteer-based home-visiting service for parents/carers who are suffering isolation as a result of caring for people with a disability.
