All referrals for respite in the Nepean funding area (Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hawkesbury) are handled under the Respite Intake Allocation Project (R.I.A.P) through the Nepean Carer Respite Centre. All of the participating Service Providers meet every 2nd month to consider all new applications and to allocate each one to the service provider able to provide the respite that is most appropriate for the family. Call 1800 059 059 (Carer Respite Centre) for a telephone assessment and to have the application processed. Please note that families no longer need to lodge applications with each service.
