Note: The Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care operates a vacancy management system in the Metro West Region of Sydney, however some service providers still prefer to accept individual referrals themselves.

Anyone looking for supported accommodation should ask how referrals are accepted by each service provider that they approach.

Cherrywood Village provides the administrative base, offers individual accommodation and a range of services including: training in independent living, domestic skills, and vocational training in office procedures, gardening, maintenance and catering. AFFORD also operates group homes in Cranebrook, Yagoona, Mt Pleasant, Fairfield, and Toongabbie.

Disability Services Australia provides residential accommodation and day options programs for those with an intellectual disability. At this point in time, only residential accommodation services are available in the Nepean Region - with one residence in Werrington and the other in Kingswood Park. There is 24 hour Support Worker involvement to assist residents in all aspects of daily living and encourage the development of new skills.

Information, referral, support and advocacy for women in housing need. The service supports families in two medium term properties for a period of up to 12 months. These properties are for the use of women with children who have experienced domestic violence and spent some time in temporary accommodation.

Interaction Disability Service provides a range of services/programs including. Children's Respite Service; Community Services Division, Individual Programming Team; Post School Options/ATLAS; Supported Accommodation; Respite Options; Community Options Program. It should be noted that the area covered by Interaction is principally the Cumberland/Prospect area with some service delivery to Penrith (i.e. these services are not available in the Hawkesbury, although they may be available externally, e.g. Blacktown or Baulkham Hills areas, to Hawkesbury residents).
